What is Tai Chi Chuan?

Tai Chi Chuan is an old chinese moving art with a meditative character, philosophical background, was originally developed as a martial art and self defense. Nowadays it is mainly well known for its beneficial effects for the health of the practitioner. An older name for this art was chinese shadowboxing. Tai Chi can mean the highest principle or opposing forces yin and yang. Chuan means fist or the martial way.

Slow, soft, floating, slow motioned movements lead to Balance, Relaxation, Perseverance, Well-being and Health. It is suitable for younger and older people, men and women, for the strong and the weaker. No special talent is necessary to learn it.

Some minutes of daily training can lead to the improvement of mind, soul, energy and body.
